Leicester Street Doctors
StreetDoctors is a registered national charity run by medical students and doctors that teaches life saving first-aid to vulnerable young people. Last year the charity taught two thousand young people nationally, delivering vital skills and aiming to change attitudes to youth violence. The charity targets its teaching at high risk young people though Youth Offending Teams, Youth Clubs and other charities. Originally started in Liverpool in 2008, the charity has grown rapidly across the country, with the Leicester team starting in 2015. As a medical student, joining our team provides an opportunity to teach first-aid in an engaging and unique way as well as being involved with the running of an award winning national charity and developing a range of personal skills. Look out for our emails, or find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/LeicesterStreetDoctors. We hope you consider getting involved!
