About us:
Leicester Medicine and Postgraduate Dance (LeicMPD) was set up to allow Medics and Postgrads with a hectic schedule to continue to dance! We offer weekly classes in Advanced Modern/Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Ballet. There are also opportunities for members to learn ‘Wildcard’ type classes, such as Hip Hop or Bollywood!
Class info:
Tasters sessions will run on 6th, 13th and 20th September 2022 (Subject to Change - keep updated on our mailing list). Normal classes will then run each Friday evening (venue and specific times TBC). Our classes are held on Fridays to allow for those on out-block to get back to Leicester.
Previous success:
2019/20 is our second year of running the society and after the amazing year we had last year, we can't wait to watch our society grow. In 2018/19 we attended two inter-university competitions, UCL (Dec 2018) and Sunderland (March 2018), results as follows:
- 3rd place Advanced Tap (UCL)
- 1st place Advanced Contemporary (Sunderland)
- 1st place Advanced Tap (Sunderland)
- 3rd place Advanced Modern (Sunderland)
- 1st place Wildcard (Sunderland)
- 3rd place Solo (Sunderland)
- Overall Best Male (Sunderland)
