Women's Rugby
LMWRFC is a new society for 22/23 season, full of enthusiasm and big plans!
We’re a friendly group, looking forward to welcoming women of all rugby abilities- if you’ve never picked up a rugby ball before or you’ve been playing for years. We’re hoping to create a friendly environment where we all learn from one another and create a strong team on and off the pitch.
In the coming year we will:
- Run weekly training sessions (when and where are yet to be confirmed)
- Have regular socials (both drinking and non-drinking) so you can get know medics both in and out of womens rugby. These socials will include some fun themes!
- Play friendlies against local teams and other womens medics rugby teams to get match time and experience
- Have touch rugby events and non contact options at training if contact isn’t for you
- With Nottingham medics starting a new womens rugby team we’re hoping for a varsity match this year! With all the other sports playing and a night out after this always proves to be a great event
- Host revision sessions for upcoming exams to help prepare for exams
- Go to watch local Leicester tigers matches
