​Leicester Medico-Political Society ​

Do you have an interest in medical politics? Want to keep up to date with medical affairs? Interested in how politics affects both the NHS and medical students?

Leicester Medico-Political Society is a brand new sub-soc at Leicester Medical School that started in 2020. We aim to bring debates, external speakers and revision lectures on the NHS, Politics and how our Health Service is governed. Most importantly, we want to educate and keep medical students up to date with medical affairs.

So far this year we have had talks with Dr Luke Evans (Leicester MP, General Practitioner and Health Select Committee Member), multiple debates in collaboration with other LUSUMA sub-socs, 'Wisdom Wednesday' campaigns and much more! Check out our IG to see what we've done so far!
