Welcome to Leicester Medics Hockey Club! LMHC is a mixed club for all years and abilities, so even if you have never picked up a hockey stick before or if you’re ready to jump back into the sport you love, this is the club for you! Joining the club is a fantastic chance to make a group of lifetime friends, develop your skills and have lots of fun along the way. We have competitive matches in both the local mixed league and NAMS, so there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved. We host regular socials and have two hockey tours, in November and April, so there's rarely a dull moment at the club! Training 10:30am-12:00pm every Sunday @ Manor Road Astro Pitch (Roger Bettles Sport Centre), Oadby 5 minute walk from Oadby Student Village Training is hosted by our Male and Female Captains Matches Every Saturday for the local league Some Sundays for NAMS Socials Regular socials are set up throughout the year by our amazing Social Secretaries (both drinking and non-drinking) so even if playing hockey isn’t your forte, join as a social member and become part of our family! Some of the biggest events of the year include Varsity with Nottingham Medical School and they are followed by socials to match the excitement, not to mention our two great tours of the year that you don't want to miss out on! Revision We also understand the stress and pressure everyone experiences throughout medical school, so regular revision sessions are set up by our Welfare Secretary to help you alongside your learning and to be a shoulder to lean on whenever you need, whether it be an academic or pastoral concern.
