To promote the playing of both recreational and competitive hockey for all abilities

Description

My name is Matt Hodgkinson and I'm the captain of Medic's Hockey. We train at the Manor Road Astro Pitch, 5 minutes walk from halls, from 12-2 every Sunday. We welcome boys and girls of ANY skill level (there are quite a few beginners in the club tom trouton (kit sec) being one of them). Our skill levels range from developing players to club players, so please feel welcome to come along. If you havent got a stick or balls, we can give you one.

We are proud to be one of the highest achieving sports teams here at Leicester Medical School, winning the plate at the Wesleyan medics hockey tournament this year.

The team spirit continues off the pitch as well. Many of us have exams coming up and the older years often chip in to mentor the younger players in the team in their hour of need. Medics Hockey is renowned for its vibrant social scene. We have a fantastic social sec in Mr Ryan Dandy that organises regular events including sports dinners and nights out at the union. It's not all about the hockey.

The highlight of our year is the annual NAMS tournament!!! My teammates will agree that NAMS this year was the best weekend of the year. It is really that good! Ask us about it in INTROWEEK
