| Description | Finally Leicester has a society to cater for all the budding physicians. Not to mention the society will be affiliated with the Royal College of Physicians.
The primary aim of this society will be to enhance medical students' knowledge, understanding, clinical and diagnostic skills and keep abreast with advances and novel concepts in medicine. There will also be a focus on areas of medicine not covered in mainstream undergraduate teaching. Some of the events include: * Regular case presentations / lectures/ seminars/ to discuss interesting, rare or unusual cases/ diseases... * High profile and notable speakers as well as peer led events... * Regular meetings to discuss the latest developments in medicine... * Meetings to talk about and discuss ethical issues or dilemmas... * Provide some teaching in examination of specialist areas, e.g. fundoscopy, data interpretation... http://www.wix.com/omo123/leicester-sps |
