Hey everyone, its Jay and Kriti here to give you the low down of the Balls at Leicester Medical School. There are normally two balls per year and both promise to be bigger and better than the previous ones!

Our ‘Cirque du Soleil’ Summer Ball
This year’s Cirque Du Soleil themed evening was fantastic with loads of wonderful, wacky and weird entertainment, amazing cocktails and awesome food in a new and interesting venue. The next summer ball will be at the end of your first year and will be a remarkable night, celebrating the end of your academic year!

Our Winter Ball
The winter ball is always the more formal of the two, it is an evening of fine dining, dinner suits and sophisticated conversation - UNTIL the DJ starts up!! Then, the famous Leicester medic’s live up to their name and ‘drop it like it’s hot’! The winter ball happens after January exams and is a much needed stress buster as well as a chance to scrub up (not in a surgical sense - medic jokes really aren’t funny =S). We’ve started planning the winter ball already so any ideas about what you would like at the ball would be more than welcome!
